Congratulations Jennifer & Michael

So I think I have a new favorite place to photograph weddings: The Powell Crosley Estate in Sarasota. It is a beautiful old mansion on Sarasota Bay just oozing with character. The detail work in every room was unbelievable. Not only was the venue absolutely gorgeous, Jennifer and Michael were stunning as well. And I have to mention how very sweet they both are. This was a wedding I won't forget. It was a complete pleasure to photograph!

Christy & Company: Much More Than A Maternity Session

As promised, I am posting a few of my favorite images from Christy's Maternity Session. As you can see, we did more than just photograph Christy's blooming belly. Christy and John wanted to include big-brother-to-be so it was a maternity/family session. We started with the family portion of the session doing all the shots with Christy's hubby, John, and their son, Liam. Then, when we were finished with those, dad and Liam left and Christy and I continued on with the session focusing then, on just her and her belly. It was a great photo shoot, full of mostly candid moments. Thank you Christy and John and Liam for sharing this special day at EFP! I can't wait to meet the little one ...

I love this shot. Perfectly candid. This was some early on negotiating between dad and Liam.

I have to say there was not a lack of love here. What a wonderful thing to have the pleasure of documenting.

This is one of many action shots I got during the session.

We let Liam have some time to demonstrate his personality solo. Boy, did he ...

There is a whole series of shots like this one where Liam just struck pose after pose. It was cracking us up.

Awwe. Love this for obvious reasons.

We asked Liam to pick out the fabric he wanted Mommy to wear for her belly shots. He did and decided it would look rather nice on him.

Christy and I had a lot of fun doing her belly shots. I'm posting a few of the more conservative ones here. Thanks again, Christy.

Happy Words From A Happy Client

The following is an excerpt from an email a Bellies & Babies Client sent me this morning. She and her husband and their 5-year-old son came in for her maternity session. Their little boy, like 90 percent of all little boys and girls, had other things on his mind other than sitting in front of a camera for pictures. But, in the end, he got into it and I managed to grab quite a few great shots of him just being him. I'll be posting some images from that session in the next day or two. But, for now, here is what mom had to say about her proofs....
"I absolutely LOVE the pictures. You captured exactly what I was looking for
(and then some). You are truly talented and an expert at your craft. They
are beautiful! I am also simply amazed at how many great shots you got
of our little crazy man."

Congratulations Ashley & Victor

I am finally catching up on the weddings I did over the holidays. Holiday weddings are becoming really popular. The following are pics from Ashley and Victor's wedding. What a delightful couple! They had a small wedding at Fort DeSoto Beach and a reception at Mahaffey Theater in downtown Saint Petersburg. They were married the day after Christmas. I picked a few of my favorite images to post on the Blog. I'll be adding a few of these to the Wedding Gallery for sure! Enjoy ...

I just love these shots of Ashley's gown. I love the teal accents. So beautiful and elegant.

This is always one of my favorite shots to get of the bride before the wedding if we have a good window to work with.

This shot was taken as Ashley was waiting to walk down to the ceremony. The sunlight coming through the trees was to die for.

Of course, we always get the kiss but sometimes the sweetest shot is right before or right after the kiss. In this case, Ashley and Victor paused briefly right before they kissed. What a sweet moment and great photo opp.

This was another candid shot taken near the end of the ceremony. Again, the lighting just can't be beat. Thank you Mother Nature.

This shot was just one of many candids we took during the reception. I just love this of a momma and her babies! Sweet family.

I just had to post this one. Ashley was giving Victor the warning: "Be nice". And for the record, Victor was nice. So cute.
